We’ve heard all around about Superheroes, it’s in the movies and almost everywhere. So many people are interested in them. There’s the proof, you can see how the latest movie, Spiderman 3, came into action, and went straight up the chart. Then, you may ask, how could Superhero possibly relates to Science?
Well, when you read about Superheroes in comic books, you’d actually be surprised that they get the science right more than you think. Like the element in the “Superman” comic books. The element “Krypton” actually exists, and not just merely a creation by the author.
A physics professor, from the University of Minnesota, admits this fact. He teaches his student through examples involving superheroes. He said that by referring to superheroes character, the students became more interested in Physics, which he made out to be a story.
He took a few cases of Superheroes characters as an example. He explained the theory of relativity by telling stories about superhero, catching bullet the villain’s bullets with his bare hands. It’s pretty good, the way he teaches his student, since this will keep the students interested on the subject.
Teachers around the world should also do this, to keep the students interested. I hope my Physics professor read this, and instead of coming to the class with his usual boring self, he would explain a little about science, and explain how Spidey gets his web out of his body…. LOL

One Response to “Superheroes, and the Truth about Science”
I have been a big fan of Superheroes and their involvement in Science and I have come across many different theories of how we can create our own Superpowers. My question is, how do you think we can make Superpowers?
